The Winter of our DysContent

DYSFUNCTION:

Friends, Austonians, Countrymen: lend us your minds! The players are all met! Dystheatre has garnered the forces of a dozen Austonian Theatre Troupes for a fine display of piteous moans, resplendent visions, undying love, and pontiferous fissions, to celebrate the Bard of Avon’s grande influence on our global communities. Friday March 29th at 11 p.m. and Saturday March 30th at 3 p.m. at the Spiderhouse Ballroom (2906 Fruth St). Sponsored by LuckyChaos Theater Projects, Austin Creative Alliance, and Austin’s Cultural Arts Divison.

The lovers are here on a Midsummer’s Night.
Courtiers be near with questions a’flight.
Dancers tame chaos with sonnets a’dueling.
Puppets teach Titus with fabrics a’spooling.
And Hamlet’s around, though he daren’t make a sound,
with the bones of three Richards a’ghouling.

“What is love? ’tis not hereafter;
Present mirth hath present laughter;
What’s to come is still unsure:
In delay there lies no plenty,—
Then come kiss me, Sweet-and-twenty,
Youth’s a stuff will not endure.”
